THE STORY BEHIND TAILOR MAIL
I’ve always been the type of person who would rather build something than settle for something that doesn’t feel quite right. I grew up working alongside my father, learning how to fix, build, paint, and improve homes — skills that eventually became the foundation for Tailor Mail.
In 2023, I replaced the outdated mailbox at my own home. What started as one project made me realize something simple: the mailbox is one of the first things you see when you pull up to a house, yet it’s often one of the most overlooked.
I started Tailor Mail to change that.
HOW IT STARTED
After replacing my own mailbox, I saw how much a custom design could change the look of a home. I started Tailor Mail as a side project while continuing to build hands-on experience in home improvement and construction. Before long, that small project became the business I wanted to pursue full time.
WHY ALUMINUM
My earliest designs used wood, but South Florida quickly teaches you what holds up and what doesn’t. Heat, humidity, rain, and constant sun are hard on traditional materials. That experience pushed me toward aluminum and other long-lasting materials that can handle the environment without giving up the clean, architectural look I wanted.
TAILOR MAIL TODAY
Today, I design and build custom mailboxes, install throughout South Florida, and ship select designs nationwide. I’m also a father of two, and I love that Tailor Mail has become something my family can be part of — whether they’re helping with a project, stopping by the shop, or our dog deciding an installation needs supervision.
